Publication ethics
Authors, reviewers and editors share responsibility for the integrity of the congress review and publication process. The principles below guide submissions and editorial decisions.
Authors
- Submit original work and clearly acknowledge prior research, sources and reused material.
- Report methods, results and data honestly; do not fabricate or falsify findings.
- Ensure all listed authors have made an appropriate contribution and agree to the submission.
- Disclose relevant conflicts of interest and correct significant errors when discovered.
Reviewers
- Assess submissions fairly and give specific, constructive feedback.
- Keep manuscripts and review material confidential; do not use unpublished material for personal advantage.
- Declare conflicts of interest and tell the editors if a timely, impartial review is not possible.
Editors and organisers
- Base decisions on the scholarly merits of submissions and the congress scope.
- Protect the confidentiality of submitted work and manage conflicts of interest.
- Review concerns about plagiarism, inaccurate reporting or other misconduct and seek an appropriate resolution.
